Foundation for Social Improvement - Skills Workshop

PWW was pleased to sponsor and exhibit at the Skills Conference hosted by the Foundation for Social Improvement, which took place in Russell Square on the 11th February 2015. The event was particularly aimed at those charities with a turnover of under £1.5 million and provided up to 160 delegates access to expert speakers who delivered sessions on a variety of topics essential to small charities. Session topics included: VAT, partnerships and mergers, and the Lobbying Act.

We were pleased to meet many of the delegates on the day and look forward to discussing various issues raised in the future.

ACEVO Breakfast Seminar - “Facing Adversity in the Muslim Charity Sector”

On 10 December 2014, PWW Solicitors hosted a joint seminar run by The Muslim Charities Forum and ACEVO titled “Facing Adversity in the Muslim Charity Sector”. Approximately 25 people attended, including Diane Abbot MP, representatives from the Charity Commission and delegates from across the Muslim Charity sector. The Panel chaired by Sir Stephen Bubb included Dr Hany El-Banna, the founder of Islamic Relief and Tom Keatinge from the Royal United Services Institute together with input from our Charities Team.

PWW is proud of its partnership with ACEVO and for having the opportunity to host such a lively and stimulating
event and looks forward to working together with ACEVO and the Muslim Charities Forum in the future.

Following our successful client party in 2012, we were pleased to welcome guests to our second summer party on Thursday 24th July.  The weather was beautiful and once again, everyone enjoyed food and drinks, whilst taking in the view over the river from the balcony at the Westminster Boat Base.  The Partners would like to thank all those who attended, making the event such a success. We are hoping to make this a permanent biannual fixture so look forward to welcoming you all again in 2016 – in addition to all those who were unable to make it on this occasion!
