Alice is an Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution and Employment Team.

Prior to joining Pothecary Witham Weld, Alice spent the beginning part of her career working for a niche litigation firm and was the sole employment Solicitor responsible for the running of its employment arm.

Alice spends her time advising on a range of matters such as Partnership Disputes, Trustees’ breach of duties, historic abuse claims, contentious probate claims, residential/commercial property disputes, breach of contract claims and employment disputes.

Whilst working at Pothecary Witham Weld, Alice has successfully defended a Contempt of Court application in the Court of Protection, been awarded a very advantageous Judgment for her client in a long running Partnership dispute (and awarded indemnity costs) and successfully defended a Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 claim on behalf of a Landlord.

Alice has also had an article published in the Estates Gazette – ‘Planning the Use it Yourself’, Estates Gazette, 21 January 2017, 69 (co-authored with David Sawtell) (LTA 1954, section 30(1)(g) and planning issues)’.

Alice is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

On a personal note

Having studied at Brunel University, Alice was an active member of Brunel’s Law Society, holding the post of President for two consecutive years. Alice’s previous roles within commerce has given her an excellent grounding in understanding first-hand, the pressures her corporate and individual clients face.
