Areas of Work

Richard Fowler is the Senior Partner of the Bishop's Stortford Office and is also head of the Business Department. Richard's main areas of specialisation are the sale and purchase of businesses and companies. He also has extensive experience of commercial property and development work and leases, acting for both Business and Charity Clients.

Career

Richard qualified in 1968. After working for law firms in Toronto, Canada and Sydney, Australia, handling primarily corporate and commercial work, he returned to the UK in 1970 and joined Pothecary & Barratt as an assistant solicitor. He became a partner some years later.

Personal

Richard is on the Board of Trustees of a National Christian Charity and was Chairman for many years. He is also trustee of a number of grant-making charitable trusts the administration of which is handled by the firm. Richard is a husband (of Morag) father and grandfather (of 4) and an active member of his local church. He enjoys walking, singing and reading.
