Charities in an Economic Downturn: Good Governance Print
Tuesday, 25 May 2010 14:10

In these straitened times a charity’s efficient use of its resources is crucial.

The Charity Commission has recently put together in one place a number of guides for charity trustees that set out advice and guidance to help trustees to understand their powers and duties when managing their charity’s resources.

The guidance includes sections on:

  • Managing finances
  • Charities in an economic downturn
  • Land and property
  • Pensions
  • Investment of charitable funds and social investment

Visit the Charity Commission website to read the guidance in full.
