Guidance Notes for Applicants

For Academic Year beginning Autumn 2008

The Talbot House Trust was established by a Trust Deed dated 3rd March 1992 for such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees shall from time to time determine.

In the past the Trustees have made grants to individuals as a contribution towards school or college fees for students studying in the Performing Arts i.e. drama, dance, music. Unfortunately due to the high cost of administering grants to individuals the Trustees decided at their Meeting which took place in July 2007 that this method of grant making was no longer sustainable. It was agreed that in the future the Trustees would select a college or school to receive a larger grant to be distributed to individuals by them in accordance with the restrictions set out below.

The school or college will be selected annually at a Trustees Meeting.

At their meeting which took place in March 2008 the Trustees selected Ballet West to receive the funding available for the academic year beginning Autumn 2008.

The fund will be available for individuals studying at Ballet West during the academic year beginning September 2008 towards the cost of fees, or exceptionally, a grant may be given for maintenance, equipment and/or travel subject to the following:-
